Introduction: Honoring World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated globally each year to raise awareness and encourage action for the protection of our planet. In 2021, the theme was “Ecosystem Restoration,” a call to revive and protect natural habitats that are under threat. Responding to this call, Cleantech (Pvt) Ltd., the environmental management arm of the Abans Group, partnered with the Institute of Environmental Professionals Sri Lanka (IEPSL) to carry out an extensive beach clean-up campaign.
